At Be Well, while Nicole offers compassionate and professional virtual and in-person psychotherapy tailored to your mental health needs, registered psychotherapists practicing in Ontario are not permitted to complete psychological assessments or make formal diagnoses without the supervision of a clinical psychologist or physician. Therefore, we do not provide these assessment or diagnostic services directly. We enthusiastically encourage all clients to seek a psychological assessment or diagnosis from their family doctor or a licensed clinical psychologist before beginning therapy with us. This ensures that your therapy journey is well-informed and personalized, allowing us to support you most effectively on your path to wellness!
As part of our modern approach to therapy delivery, we offer various session lengths and service deliveries that may assist in setting your budget for therapy. Session lengths range from 30 to 75 minutes and begin at $100! This will help clients select services that meet their budgeting needs.
Please contact us to inquire about reduced fees.
During a first appointment, we are shaking off those usual nervous jitters that come with coming to your first session. We will typically share some information to help you get to know us and make you feel comfortable!
We will spend 5-10 minutes at the beginning of your session to review your Informed Consent form and discuss our policies. If you have any questions or concerns, this is your opportunity to ask. At Be Well Therapy Studio, we believe and value transparency; therefore, it's important you know what to expect from us as your therapist, as well as what we expect from you as a client.
We will then spend the remainder of our time going through your Intake Questionnaire, and you get to take the stage in sharing with us about what brought you to seeking a therapist, your goals, and formulating a treatment plan by the end of your session!
This is completely up to you! Most clients decide to come weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly; however, it is dependent on your needs and how much support you would like to receive. Our schedules are flexible and clients often are encouraged to pre-book their appointments using our convenient online portal to ensure your appointments work effectively with your busy schedule.
Please note: Only active clients with verified accounts can schedule appointments online. If you are a new client, please schedule a Complimentary Consultation Call to discuss your therapeutic needs before we schedule your first session.
We value client accessibility and privacy. As such, we offer online sessions via Jane App, a secure video service that complies with PHIPPA and supports healthcare-related appointments. We do not offer video sessions via FaceTime, Zoom, Google Meet, or any other platform to ensure privacy.
An email will be sent to you containing your secure video link ahead of each virtual visit!
Nicole offers sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-4:30pm and select Saturday mornings.
We require 48 hours notice for cancellations in order to best accommodate appointment preferences and better manage our schedules. Sessions cancelled/re-scheduled 24-48 hours before a scheduled session may be subject to a 50% fee of the session rate. Sessions cancelled/re-scheduled less than 24 hours before a scheduled session may be subject to a 100% fee of the session rate.
Due to the demand for sessions, we have a strict no-show policy, out of respect for the preparation and reservation of your time slot. Individuals who do not attend their scheduled appointment (otherwise known as a "no-show") will be subject to 100% of the session rate. We will attempt to make contact via phone call 10-15 minutes into your session time. If we do not hear from you, your session will be cancelled after 10 minutes of a 30-minute session and 20 minutes of a 50-minute appointment.

Although therapy is beneficial, it is only the most helpful and effective when we are willing and accepting to receive help. Thus, it is up to the person to decide for themselves whether it is the right time for them to seek counselling. You are more than welcome to pass on our contact information if they are interested.
Please be aware that we am not a crisis service. Although we are available to support clients in-between regularly scheduled appointments, we are not available 24/7 and thus would not be considered an emergency service provider in the event you experience a crisis. For any crisis or emergency services, please reach out to your local mental health crisis centre (ie. CMHA or ReachOut) or emergency line (911) for immediate help. All clients are also provided with a list of local crisis resources prior to their first appointment.
