I'm Ashley!

I'm Ashley! I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and excited to complete my practicum placement at Be Well Therapy Studio!


In addition to being a dedicated mental health advocate, I have a diverse background that includes working in various work environments, including sports and childcare. I believe in the power of active listening and collaborative discussion to foster positive therapeutic relationships.

My educational journey began at Laurentian University, where I pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. To further enhance my knowledge and skills, I am currently pursuing a Master of Counseling Psychology at Yorkville University.

Throughout my professional development, I have acquired valuable certifications contributing to my holistic approach to mental health care. I completed an Emotional Intelligence Certification Program at Western University, which has allowed me to enhance my self-awareness and effectively collaborate with others. Additionally, I obtained a Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Certification, enabling me to handle crisis situations and understand escalating behaviour levels.

My passion for supporting individuals extends beyond mental health care. I am also a certified Mental Game Coaching Professional (MGCP). This certification has equipped me with the tools to teach athletes mental toughness, overcome barriers, and foster confidence, focus, and teamwork.

As I engage on my practicum placement journey at Be Well Therapy Studio, I prioritize offering high-quality, consistent, comfortable, and accessible mental health care. Drawing from my personal experiences with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, panic attacks, transitional life stress, and body image issues, I share an understanding of the mental and emotional toll these challenges can have on our lives. I have developed a personal "toolbox" of mental health techniques that work to manage these issues through my personal therapy journey. I am happy to explore the many mental health techniques to find what works for you and your unique situation - we are all different! I aim to help others through their mental health journeys, creating sustainable mental well-being.

Therapy can be intimidating for many; therefore, I am dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space for clients to embrace their authentic selves and regain control over their mental health. I offer a modern, comfortable, and client-centred approach to therapy.
